.:BODHIDHARMA:.

In the south Indian state of Kerala (the homeland of kalaripayat), Bodhidharma is remembered as both a kalari master and as the "father of Han-Chinese Shaolin Fist"[50]. The Yi Jin Jing also credits Shaolin kungfu to Bodhidharma. Malays believe that Bodhidharma introduced preset forms into silat. All this would make him an important influence on Asian martial arts in general.

  1. bodhidharma a pallava prince from kanchpuram, tamilnadu. dont tell wrong history. but whatever may he is a tamilian. kerala exists after 1300 AD... before there was only tamil kingdoms in south.... cheras,cholas,pandayas and pallavas... nairs of kerala were originnaly a pallav origin....

  2. thumbs up for the above comment... but as u said Kerala and tamilnadu were one state before 1300 AD. and kanchipuram was very bigger before. so the old kanchipuram might ve changed and now its called Kerala. who knows :P

  4. kanchivaram is different from kerala.
    Those province were ruled by tamil kings only.
